JIM Lynch is urging Leicester to put any difficulties to one side and concentrate on entertaining in Friday’s trip to Belle Vue (7.30).
The Watling JCB Lions boss accepts it will be a tall order to gain anything from the National Speedway Stadium and is keen to release the shackles of expectation in order to get the best from his side.
“Whatever we do now, we’re going to finish bottom and the focus for us is to give our fans something to yell for at home,” said Lynch.
“On the road we’re always going to find it tough. We’re not bottom by chance and the first half of the season was almost laughable in terms of what we had to put up with.
“Until the rules prevent us from playing second fiddle to the lower divisions we will always have a tough time of it and that has been the main reason behind our struggles.
“We have to be able to track our best side at home and when we do, I think we can beat anybody. As for away trips like this one, it is about letting the riders off the leash to go out and entertain.
“We always want to be as competitive as possible in all of our meetings but with circumstances as they are, our first target is to put on a show and what a race track for the boys to try to do that on.”
Lions will run rider replacement at number four for the injured Pawel Przedpelski. The Aces do the same for Max Fricke at number two, while Scunthorpe’s Tero Aarnio stands in for Dan Bewley.
